Two audiences have to be satisfied at once. The students want the arrival: the vehicle, the photographs, the walk from the kerb to the door. The parents want the logistics: who is driving, where the pick-up is, what time the collection is and how they know it happened. A prom booking that only addresses one of those is only half a booking. ### Who books it Usually one parent acting for a group of friends, sometimes a group of parents splitting the cost between them, and occasionally the school or a parents' committee arranging several vehicles for a year group. Group sizes vary from a full 16-seat party bus down to eight friends in the smaller white limousine. Where a year group books multiple vehicles, we arrange arrival times so they are not all at the door at once. ### When it is needed Prom season in South Wales runs through June and July, and it concentrates into a small number of Thursday and Friday evenings. Prom dates across Cardiff and the Vale cluster into a handful of nights in June and July. Every 16-seat vehicle in the region is spoken for on those nights, and once they are gone there is no supply left at any price. Groups that leave it late do not get a worse vehicle; they get no vehicle. The second risk is the return leg.
